From the Principal

What a year. It was absolutely lovely celebrating with students, staff and parents all the hard work of students over the last two weeks through the various ceremonies.
There has been so many highlights this year that are worth celebrating: the Colour and Slime run; Book Week; the many concerts; STEM, music and sporting achievements; scholarships for leaving students at high school… the list can go on. I have been so proud to share these on Facebook, in the newsletter, with Media outlets, with the department – basically anyone who will listen.
Thank you for your tenacity and courage during lockdowns and during the Learning@Home experience. The staff, students and families who took this challenge of teaching and learning differently was exceptional.
This week, we had our year 6 graduation, celebrating 7 years of schooling. There were so many proud staff and parents in the room who congratulated these students as they move to the next stage of their educational journey – high school. They have done a fantastic job. We now look forward to our Year 5 students who will join the Year 6 Worongary Legacy.
As we farewell our graduating students, we also farewell some staff from Worongary.

Ms Quarman Year 2 Teacher. Your laughter and exciting lessons will surely excite the students at Pimpama State School as they have done at Worongary. Congratulations on your appointment and I wish you every success at Pimpama.
Mrs Evans our Inclusion Teacher. Thank you for all the time you give to students to help them improve their learning and be the best they can be. Miami State School will be very lucky to have you.
Marg Haebich Year 5 Teacher. Thank you, Marg, for your support over the last few years as a teacher and also the Pedagogical Coach in our school. Mrs Haebich will be returning to Tallebudgera State School and I know the school is very much looking forward to her return.
